                                          Website honoring historic baseball venue debuts on eve of College World Series

 
OMAHA, Neb. -  A fan-based, fan-driven website dedicated to one of the most revered sites in baseball debuts today, just in time for the College World Series. The site (www.rosenblattmemories.com) is designed to celebrate and pay tribute to Omaha's Johnny Rosenblatt Stadium, the home of the College Baseball World Series for the last 60 years. This will be the last year the series is hosted at Rosenblatt Stadium and the site will feature a daily video of fan interviews, Fan Fest activities, fan activity and all of the buzz surrounding the final series at Rosenblatt Stadium.

Steve Kaufmann, who created the website, began attending the College World Series in 2003, after watching it for years on TV.

"Once you step foot into Rosenblatt Stadium during the College World Series, the energy and hospitality of those around you suck you into falling in love with it," he said. "If I could help it, I'd never miss another College World Series as long as I live. Even though I'm a native Southern Californian, I feel at home when I visit Omaha." 

Fans will be able to upload photos from their cell phones and home computer to the website by sending photos to Photos@rosenblattmemories.com for daily posting. There will be stories from fan favorites to funny, disappointing, celebratory or just humble experiences at Rosenblatt stadium.

Kaufmann who lives in Southern California says  "the fan experience is what makes Rosenblatt Stadium so special, the history of this stadium is really written by the fans."  Steve Kaufmann will be on site at Rosenblatt Stadium throughout the entire 2010 CWS for interviews and questions.

www.rosenblattmemories.com will document the presence of every team during the final season the NCAA College World Series is held at Rosenblatt Stadium. The site will help fans to share experiences and successes from past visits to help the fans navigate more easily while in Omaha.
